Types of Life Insurance

TERM LIFE

A “temporary” policy, usually for 10, 15, 20, or 30 years, but one can have a custom policy for as many years as needed.

WHOLE LIFE

This is a “permanent” policy; once issued, the premium rate never changes and you can never lose ownership of the policy except by non-payment and death

UNIVERSAL LIFE

“Permanent” Policy that
acts like a Whole Life Policy with the exception that it accumulates cash value based on current interest rates, which makes it best for high earners to own due to the need to pay higher premiums late in life due to interest rate adjustments

VARIABLE LIFE

Permanent Policy
Variable life policies invest funds in subaccounts, which operate like mutual funds, much like a Variable Annuity.
